Client Garage Conversion

We were contacted by a client who was about to surrender a shop lease and had started converting their garage into a hair salon.  The garage walls had already been lined with timber studwork and part plaster boarded and the first fix electrics were well underway.

Our client required a solution to lower the garage ceiling and to cover the old timber joists, thus leaving a void for power and quality modern lighting to be installed.  We therefore proposed a suspended ceiling comprising a wipeable crushed rockwool tile, which not only gave a very clean clinical look, but also helped to insulate the garage.

The suspended ceiling tiles were set into an exposed white gridwork, which allows easy access above the ceiling by simply removing the tiles.  The grid system also supports the LED panel lighting and all other ceiling services as desired.

A suspended ceiling is a perfect way to create a professional space within your garage or any outbuildings, which may currently be redundant but can easily be converted into functional working spaces.  Home working is very much the new trend in most sectors due to this pandemic, but of course has the benefits of saving lots of time by not community to work, saves you money and long term allows you to spend more quality time with your family and friends.
